about

This was a sort of warm-up gig for Hatfield’s concerts in Japan in early October and the full UK tour that followed, and their first live performance since the European tour of June, undertaken with the support of Mark Fletcher as second drummer as Pip was having serious back problems. This marked the debut of the “Big Jobs / Going Up to People…” opening medley, replicating that of the first album, and “Fitter Stoke Has A Bath.” There is also an instrumental version of Alex’s “Psychic Warrior,” later matched with lyrics by Pip after Elton Dean’s passing in early 2006.

This is a "recording of indeterminate origin," i.e. a bootleg. If you buy it from me it'll be the first time anyone in the band has seen a quid from it.

A deep, low voice, a talent for memorable melodies few can match, plus an imaginative and fluid technique on the bass and guitar. ... more
