Richard is more comfortable TALKING about his history than writing about it, so we've been exploring ways to capture some of his many, many stories.

I had an idea I'm calling "Memory Packets" where Richard talks about some subject -- how he writes songs, the story of his basses, his memories of bands he's been in -- and we post this online with whatever pictures are available. The photos will be downloadable as "bonus materials" with the recording.

Richard has taught himself to use Facebook's "voice message" feature, so for now he'll just be recording these using his iPhone. Maybe later we can get a little digital recorder in his hands, for better quality.

This is a test, to see how this idea turns out, and to see if anybody's interested. Please let us know if you want to hear more of these.... and what subjects you think Richard should cover!
