about

Some places this gig was announced as "Reunion Tour." IMHO, this is an ongoing development. As far as I know, Hatfield and the North never performed before with double drums. I consider this as an experiment which is definitely succeeded. Enjoy as much as I did!

In all the available bootlegs, the last track is messed up. "Halfway" and "Didn't Matter" are repeated, and consequently the transition into "Felafel" at 16:18 isn't smooth. I've taken out the duplications, but if you know of a recording with the proper transition please let me know. It looks like maybe "Nan True's Hole" is the missing song?

released June 17, 2005

Richard Sinclair - bass & vocals
Phil Miller - guitar
Alex Maguire - keyboards
Pip Pyle - standing drums & bongos
Mark Fletcher - sitting drums

With Pip Pyle not completely recovered from a recent back operation, Mark Fletcher (In Cahoots' drummer) is asked to augment Hatfield for a series of European shows.
- Aymeric Leroy

"I have been recovering from a back operation the last two months so Mark Fletcher has temporarily joined with us on drums so I can take a break to play a bit of percussion occasionally (less strenuous!). The stage looks like a drum shop!"

about

Richard Sinclair Martina Franca, Italy

The leading voice of the Canterbury Scene. Beginning with the Wilde Flowers, on to Caravan, Hatfield & the North, Camel and all his recent group efforts, Richard Sinclair's singing and bass playing have been a constant source of delight for lovers of Canterbury music. A deep, low voice, a talent for memorable melodies few can match, plus an imaginative and fluid technique on the bass and guitar. ... more
