Every Sunday morning a bit before daybreak Down upon the farm, on the fishpond All the little ducks, they go paddling Look out goldfish, you're for breakfast In the grassy meadows cows were munching Little further on the the bulls were bunting Nestled in his pram, baby bunting Take that nap and started grunting Give him a drink, he's gone pink Wants his mummy, needs changing, I think Such a lot can be done on the farm In the sunshine, and when it's lunchtime It's off down the pub for a pint Back on the tractor to finish the plowing Take me down to Uncle's Farm in the sunshine, oh Take me down to Uncle's Farm in the sunshine And when it's lunchtime It's off down the pub for a pint Back on the tractor to finish the plowing In the sun Better get on your boots and join us, down on the farm (repeats) High up in the trees the birds were singing Down upon the ground the cats were beating In amongst the corn the bunnies were bouncing Must have springs upon their feet Every Sunday morning a bit before daybreak Down upon the farm, on the fishpond All the little ducks, they go paddling Look out goldfish, you're for breakfast In the grassy meadows cows were munching Little further on the the bulls were bunting Nestled in his pram, baby bunting Daisy Bell, it's time for milking Take me down to Uncle's Farm in the sunshine And when it's lunchtime It's off down the pub for a pint Back on the tractor to finish the plowing In the sun Better get on your boots and join us, down on the farm (repeats)

about

Live Tracks is a collection of 1990s favorite gigging moments played with special musical friends. The music was recorded to DAT directly from the PA desk mix at the different venues. With the help of Martyn Cavey and Jas the Dog in their home studio in Hawkhurst Kent we were able to edit together this first live compilation for Sinclair Songs. Happy listening, Richard Sinclair.

This was the third release on SinclairSongs.

Track ten is an unreleased Caravan track.

about

Richard Sinclair Martina Franca, Italy

The leading voice of the Canterbury Scene. Beginning with the Wilde Flowers, on to Caravan, Hatfield & the North, Camel and all his recent group efforts, Richard Sinclair's singing and bass playing have been a constant source of delight for lovers of Canterbury music. A deep, low voice, a talent for memorable melodies few can match, plus an imaginative and fluid technique on the bass and guitar. ... more
